anyone know what type of light i should be shining on a coldwater tank. rgb?

those are mostly non photosynthetic...requiring good tank feeding and export...but if you do have some verified photosynthetic organisms the the cheapest and best I know of is the ABI tuna par 30 or 28 bulb off amazon around 20 bucks

if the tank is mainly NPS then its anything you want.

so with my tidal tank being mostly anemones i was thinking about building a light thats rgb chip then a 6000k white chip and then another rgb chip i am trying to get my the colors to pop. does this sound reasonable?

agreed I think those are all nps anems. quite a setup there! low metabolic rate, I bet you wont get many algae problems like the warmer tanks. nothing rampant anyway.

i do get algae but i have 6 big snails to make the tank spotless. and is it OK to make a moon light or is that going to mess up the anemones?
