This is my first tank but by no means the only tank that I have cared for. I started it back in October 2012


This is a photo from the first few weeks during the cycling process. I killed the first frag that I ever put in it (GSP LOL!!!)


I also lost my first fish that I every had in the tank as well (note to fish store owners.... do not sell red scooter blennies to a complete newby with a new tank...)

Here is a pick of my forever missed Scutaro. RIP little guy!

It may be hard to see him because the tank lights are out and I was just using lamp lighting from the corner of the room, but he would tuck himself to sleep in the sand every night!!! Only his eyes stick out!

I've come a long way since those days and managed "Aqua Exotic" a boutique coral retail for a year (was like gaining 10 years worth of knowledge in 12 months).

Equipment includes:
  • AI nano sol that is on for 12 hours and ramps up and down over the course of the day
  • CPR backpak protein skimmer
  • innovative marine media reactor for running Phosban
  • JBJ autotopoff (I control my KH with kalkwasser in my auto top off RO/DI water)
  • JBJ thermostat to prevent heater from getting stuck in the on position (#1 cause of tank crash is heater that never shuts off)
