I have about 16 miles of spots from 108th st to the east end of seawall. It is not a matter if the fish are there it is what you are looking for!!

I was just saying you can learn something from anybody!!
How long have you been doing this again? That's quite a lot of exploring.

Yes wanna come!?!

By the way I am the one that started that thread and posted most of the content!!

Excellent! I enjoyed reading all 100 something pages on Marsh-Reef. I wouldn't be able to go until the weekend of June 23 or July 14. I live in the Bryan-College Station area, so, I'd have to make a weekend of it.

That one no. I have only ket two so far. I had one and they must be like chocolate he lasted about an hour i came to check on him and all i saw was a couple of fins. The second one I underestimated it's appetite.

So one melted and one starved? I've always thought that those guys were pretty darn neat.

One got eaten and sadly yes the other one starved it was about 3/4 of an inch I had dozen or so grass shrimp and I put four tiny mullet that were the same size as him and a week later before I got to get more I found it laying on the bottom. It wouldn't eat the shrimp only live fish and nothing frozen fish, squid, clam, shrimp!!

Good information to know.

Yeah I should have more feeder fish for him, but there is not much info on them. I hope to get one this year and I should be good to go, but who knows.

Best of luck. I can give you some endlers if you want to raise food for them

What you got ? I already produce enough food but always looking for tips. I really thought I had enough for the angler but it wouldn't eat the shrimp!! My system is setup where one side I can put breeder fish in and babies come out the bottom.... the other side I put breeder shrimp in and babies come out the bottom also. plus my scrubber and two fuges produces all the microlife to feed everything including the larvae fish and shrimp. If that makes sense!!

Are you ready to go on friday? Should I bring extra equipment?

Can you post a pic of maybe let me see the system sometime?
I just have a bunch of Endler guppies my mom doesn't want anymore. A friend took most, but there are still a few in the tank. They breed easily too.

I don't know if I'm ready lol. What should I bring? I've got buckets and nets. I don't have a battery operated bubbler. I've been meaning to get one. Oh how long will we be out there? I may pick up Tri from City Pets and bring him along.

Fishing license, head lamp, gloves, shoes, buckets, minnow net with the white mesh about 12in across and 5ft handle not and aquarium net. How far do you have to go(travel time)? If it less than an hour and you don't mix fish shrimp and nems all in one bucket. I really suggest two or three one for each.

You can bring whoever just as long as you guys have fishing licenses and you can't sell, trade, or ship anything you catch!!

I will get two fishing licenses. A bystander doesn't need one right. My husband might drop by, but he'll be a bystander in work clothes. He works on the island. I will see what I can do about now buckets. Will normal latex gloves be sufficient? Or garden gloves? I'm not sure what the purpose is. I'm about an hour away. As for the nets I don't think I have any that fit your criteria. Are sandals or bare feet good enough? If not I'll try to find some waders. Thanks for the info about not being able to sell, trade, or ship. I didn't know you cannot do that.

Okay what can I borrow from you for this trip since it's only a few days off and I have a better idea of what to get on Amazon or in stores once I see your stuff. I'm guessing a bubbler to start , though I may have an alternative solution to a battery one for this trip.

Home depot for the bucket they are like $3.00. Definitely a light source I love headlamps for hand free working. You can get one at academy or walmart for pretty cheap, but don't get anything under about 400lumens. I have a couple extra nets thats about it I need to get some new lights I burnt all mine out...Gloves because if you want a nem the rocks are sharp and covered with oysters and barnacles plus the crabs. You will be walking on algae oyster barnacle covered rocks whatever foot wear you deem suitable.. I go bare foot so I know when I am about to bite it!!

Anyone taking or catching anything out the water needs a fishing license bystanders and children under 16 or adult over I think 65 don't need anything.

Hope this helps let me know if you have any more questions.

I was thinking Home Depot or Lowes for the bucket too. The ones I have are yellow or blue and may not show critters well.

I'm thinking both types of gloves would be good to have on hand.

I've got two head lamps. I'll check the batteries and bring them along.

Looks like I'll need a bubbler. I can't find one little part. I was going to plug in a pump to a converter I got for my car, but one screw cap is missing.

I'm very excited ;Woot
What type of anemones are in the area?

Five locally that I have found mostly warty rock anemones.
