Hi all,
I have had a collinista snail outbreak. They are about 1 -2 mm and white and probably have a few hundred of them, that come out at night. I think they are irritating my toadstool...when I look in there at night, they are all over the stalk. They don't seem to be bothering any other corals. The tank is almost a year old now and I am hoping this just one of the phases. All of my parameters are in check. I have researched some, and find they are good for your CUC. But is there a way to reduce the population, besides manual removal, or will they reduce in numbers on their own?
Not sure if a wrasse would help since the snails are nocturnal. There are a few out during the day, but not many. My long polyp toadstool isn't happy and I think this may be the cause. Everything else is doing okay, including my Fiji leather.
I also have some type of tube worm that is small with a hard tube that has a web like substance. I just break them off as I find them.
Thanks

They will reduce in number on their own. One they run out of whatever food source the find so good.

From everything I researched, it appears to be collinista snails.

They will reduce in number on their own. One they run out of whatever food source the find so good.

Thanks, I hope so . No major algae or anything that I know of, except maybe the film that develops.
