Colonial Hydroids on live rock

Have a couple smallish pieces of live rock with colonial hydroids. I've removed the rocks and have them soaking in RO water. Will this kill them, or do I need to completely dry the rock and bleach in sunlight? Hate to bleach the beautiful coraline, but don't want my tank taken over.

You'll curse the coralline soon enough.

Might add a little vinegar, or if you want to really be sure, look up muriatic bath for live rock.
