Colonial hydroids on new Hawaiian feather duster.

So I found some hydroids on my new Hawaiian feather duster: https://imgur.com/gallery/7ytrqFo
Anyone have any ideas on how to get them off the worm. I know I cant dip it, and I know I probably cant smother them in epoxy or glue like I have other hydroids in the past. May just have to take it back to LFS. Thoughts?

In my experience, i've found that hydroids tend to not last long once they're in the tank. They starve out. However if you're really set on getting them out I would return the feather duster and exchange it for one that doesn't have them
