Ok everyone, What are the best methods to kill these things. Also if they are just “brown looking sticks”,are they dead?

I typically find they are easy to remove with scalpel and tweezers. Ive also used a cigar lighter when they were not near a coral. I actually liked that method more as I was never afraid of them growing back -but they will smell when burned.

Best way I’ve found is smother them with 2 part putty. I use the pink type so it doesn’t look too bad.

I would guess if there is no crown on them, then I would assume they are dead.

No crown

Curious about the lighter.
