colonial hydroids

hello, i am not looking to buy yet but i found a local reefer who has some zoa frags for sale. he told me that he does have colonial hydroids on some of his rock but not on the frag disk. would it be safe to buy from him ? i have read a lot about pest and i am trying to avoid them.thanks.
