Show us your colonies! I pulled this from a tank I service last night and thought the growth pattern for this chalice was amazing after just a year. I know there are some insane ones out there. I can't wait to see your acros!

Albeit it's not an acro, so disqualify me from playing if you'd like, I took this shot of my rather large and interesting Idaho Grape Monti a couple months ago. It's about 12" x 14" or more. It has grown right around the Birdsnest on the right side!

That's a chalice? Wow - I always thought they remained flat like a plate coral. I had no idea they grew vertically like that. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Yep. Unfortunately the fragging craze makes it hard to get nice colonies like this. When I got into the hobby you rarely saw frags at least in my area
It was nothing but colonies they were mostly wild caught and harder to acclimate but cheaper than some of the morsels you see today. I'm still old school no apex or dosing pumps or 20 different reactors. Nothing beats hands on

What's amazing is that I had 5 frags of this and they are in different tanks. The flow in this one is crazy and shaped this piece like a monti cap. The others have grown straight out and up the sides of glass and rock.
