Almost looks like a STYLOPHORA . It doesn't look dead. It looks like it is just lacking color some do to photography and some other things. It would help if you can get some cleaner pictures. I do see he polyps outlay over it.
Did it come from the bottom of a bigger colony if so that could be because lack of light.
I may be interest in the coral but would like to get a better look at it. Unfortunately I live in Florida and can't just stop by. Do you have any other camera options. My galaxy phone takes pretty decent pictures. Also try turning up the whites to get a better picture.

Looking at it some more it might just be the bad photos but it does look like it dead in many places can you confirm.

these are taken with a samsung galaxy mega .. if someone wants to give me a pointer if im doing something wrong with pictures please let me know .. its not dead or even close to death ..

The coral is a Pocillopora damicornis, not a bad price but not worth it once shipping applied. It would be great for someone local to you. Sorry but won't work out for me. Thanks for your time.
