Color of Calcium solution

So I bought some "food grade" bulk calcium chloride. And I mixed it per BRS 2 part instructions.

The CaCl solution is brownish. Is that normal? On the left if the pic is fritz soda ash, perfectly clear. The right is the budget CaCl. Brownish.

Some types of calcium chloride do have some color, probably from traces of something like iron. That was a common color in folks using Prestone Driveway heat which was generally OK.

Thanks Randy! I suppose no long term harm done if used?

Any one else with such experience?
