Color on my ultra maxima clam??

My ultra maxima clam isn't as bright as it use to be. It use to be a bright teal now it is a dull blue. Its been in my tank for 3 1/2 months. I do a 10% water change every week. Not that many corals in my tank. It's under 2 x 250w mh 4 x 54w t5 actinics in a 75g tank. What would cause the color to fade?

Nitrates 0
Ammonia 0
PH 8.15
Alk 9
Cal 450

I'm not exactly sure, I've had them do the same though. Possibly too much light.

how big is it. Some smaller ones can benifit from phytoplankton. I used to feed mine a little phytofeast every once and a while as someone suggested to me and mine kept great color and one even got a ricjer color of blue.

Its about 1 1/2in I feed it Bright Well PhytoChrom

Just replaced bulbs. 250w 14k

It looks unhappy, does the mantle extend more, or is it just a bad pict. Also, what are your nitrates, I have heard from others that high nitrates will make them mad....not sure if it true or not.

What kind of lighting do you have it under? If it's on the sand bed, it may not be getting enough light. Also, they like to be on rocks so that they can attach their foot.

I think moving it up if its un attached could help. The sand could be irritating it's mantle and thus causing it to not extend properly. Its still a small clam so supplimental feeding is beneficial. How often do you feed it?
