I know BRS sells colored PVC.
I know Home Depot sells colored PVC.
So do a few on line stores, example; (PVCfittinngsonline.com).

But the colored PVC is sold as “furniture grade”.
PVCfittingsonline.com specifically says that furniture grade PVC is “NOT for plumbing or pressurized use”.

So would that mean all colored furniture grade PVC is not for plumbing?

What about Home Depot’s “furniture grade” (?). Could we use or no? They did not specify on website (I did send email inquiring, no response).

What about about BRS? Did they do anything special to their colored furniture grade PVC to make it able to use for plumbing?

I know people use colored PVC (did you buy somewhere special or research that it was safe for use under aquarium water volume / pressure)?

Is everyone using colored PVC using it at their own risk? Flying by the seat of our pants?!

They call it furniture grade because they are not rated for pressurized application. The amount of pressure created from our pumps is not high enough to cause failure of the PVC . I dont know if home depot colored PVC is furniture grade or not, but I dont think it really matters. Yes, everyone is running th risk using furniture grade PVC, but it's not a Risk at all.
