I have a 150 gallon mixed reef, currently have a yellow tang, snowflake clownfish and picasso clownfish. Looking to add some color with easy maintenance, hardy fish. Any suggestions? Probably only want 2-3 more fish total.

I agree with wrasses. They're colorful and full of personality. Anthias are also a nice colorful fish and they group together

Agree with the idea of flasher wrasses. But know that ALL wrasses jump. A screen top can be done DIY for a few dollars, or you can buy one that looks really nice and low profile designed for Rimless tanks

I see on bulkreefsupply.com a diy kit if I go that route, how often do they need feeding and are they active?

Well I know these are "common" fishes, but they meet the criteria you stated: Royal Gramma, Blue/Green Chromis. In the size of tank you have you could have a school of 20 chromis, is quite a nice look.

Definitely been thinking of the royal gramma, was curious about the blue chromis or diamond sapphire damsel.

Wrasses are very active and will be out and about all the time.

Wrasses and all fish for that matter always do best with multiple small feedings throughout the day. That said, wrasses are easier in that you can do what most of us do and feed a bit in the morning and more in the evening.
Feeding meaty foods is also a great idea, but a balanced diet is best. As much as I love tacos, I don't want to eat them for every meal. Wrasses are the same. Except for the tacos part...

Do you feed in the morning with lights off? My lights come on at 12, I can feed pellets with apex feeder but got to get it fine tuned not to dump so many pellets.

I wouldn't feed with the lights off. If you have the auto feeder, a small portion of pellets about an hour or 2 after the lights come on would definitely be just fine.
The fish will become accustomed to when and where the pellets come from rather quickly.

Instead of an Orchid Dottyback you might look at the Blackcap Basslet. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+2730+47&pcatid=47 Beautiful and a good reef inhabitant, not as pugnacious as some other basslets and dottybacks. Should have some shaded spots in your tank though, as these are deepwater fish and don't like a lot of light at first (although they will adjust over time).
