Hey, please see the attached photos, there were taken two weeks apart, the more vibrant colouration was in my Fluval EVO, my frag tank, the less colourful is my main display. What could cause the loss of colour? My main display is about 2 x deeper than the frag... Is that the cause? Params were fine when last checked, I do not dose Iodine.

I have also noticed my torches are alot darker than the frag tank, they're more purple/blue rather than the light brown that they were.

whenever you have your coral adapted to high light you will see wonderful coloration, however when they are in less light they lose that color they are all fine just not as vibrant. Measure your par intensity in each tank. Your frag tank has brighter light so then the coral is going to be brighter color. What type of lights are you running?

The frag has a Prime16HD and the main display has a Hydra32, both running the WWC AB+, same intensity

I would check nitrate, as mushrooms prefer dirtier water. Perhaps your evo has more nutrients and the display is lacking? Just a thought- best of luck!

I would have thought, with the main display being a year old, that would have had higher nutrients as the evo had only been up for a couple of weeks, whilst I was cleaning the display of cyano. But maybe you're right, they did get ab+, phyto and reef roids in that tank
