hi all. my name is jeff, and I kept reef tanks back in the 80's but got away from it in the early 90's. three years ago my wife got me a tank and I caught the bug again. we now have a 75g display tank, and a 100g sump in the basement. our basement has kind of turned into a fishroom, including a 29g reef I built myself. I also have a qt tank and water making station set up. I dose brs two part, and though there are things I would change, my system is working well now. it has been a hard two years to get here, as I made a few bonehead mistakes that set us way back. anyway, our mixed reef is now 2 years old, and most things are growing and doing well. anyway, that is a little about me. I hope to get to know everyone better.

Hello i live in knoxville TN but I've been to Cbus a few times going back next year for a week could you recommend any reef shops in your area?

thanks both of you. Columbus is lucky in that the zoo here has attracted some very good resources to the area. the first must see is a place named reef systems. the owner was the first coral farm in ohio and he sells online if you are interested. his greenhouse is a neat place to visit. todd has done studies with OSU on how climate effects the reefs, and he has very nice stuff for very good prices. the next shop is named Phishy Business and again the sell online. it is a small shop that farms and sells coral. the tow men that own them live in florida and have two shops, one in Michigan and one here. the guy that runs this shop is very good and very helpful. he is a good one to get talking and you will learning something every time. finally about 20mins south is Mikes Tropical Fish. he has a clean, very tiny hobbiest store, but his stuff is priced very good and he knows his stuff. avoid the big chains in town and spend your time at one of these three and you will get good info, and good stuff.

Welcome! Pm me if you have any coral for sale or trade! Always looking for more! I'm located in Westerville. I'm usually at reef systems and phishy business about 4-5 times a week. This week alone I've bought 3 anemones, 4 clams, and over 40 frags hahaha
