Combating aggression

I have a 4” clown who’s beating up my whole tank including the yellow tang and some of the more aggressive types like my neon dotty back and damsels. There’s been some nipped fins. Anyway I can combat this? Two other clowns get the smacking too ones a 3” and the other is a 1 1/2” all about 4-5 years old been in the same tank for close to a year now and now he want to bully everything.

What size is the tank and what is the aquascaping? It is not unusual for large female clowns to be aggressive - hierarchy is part of their wiring, but can create a lot of disruption in an aquarium.

65g the clowns don’t hide in the rock though they claimed the back of the tank in the sand.

Beautiful tank! I realize that there are a range of opinions on this topic, but IMO a 65g is better suited for only two clowns as they get larger. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I don’t disagree. The reason she was in this originally was because she was aggressive in a nano so I transferred her in the 65 alone then replaced one in the nano with the small clown. When the Nano was taken down last year they all got put in here. It’s hard to part ways with a fish after 4-5 years even my jagoff ones like this neon dottyback lol
