So right now I’m running a 25 gallon frag talk with breeder sump. I want to plumb in a display tank. What is the best way to do this? I guess my issue... I’m thinking that I can’t just mix up some salt water for a 90 gallon tank and open the valve because fear of the amount of water from 90 would throw off the parameters of the established 25 gallon. It would be easy if display was established then add frag

the only bad thing about plumbing the display to the frag tank is if you display crashes and coral starts dying it would start affecting your frag tank to. a lot of people use frag tanks to keep seconds of stuff in case their colony dies.

I have done it it’s easy just use the salt that had the same parameters

the worst part is the new tank will go through a cycle

Two separate systems would be great but I’m pressed for space and would like to add it as cheap as possible with not having to build another sump.

Time is all don’t rush anything slowly start adding live rock to your system now to seed it
