Combined XR15 and AI Blade

Hey All,

Just curious as my research came up empty. I'm looking to increase my PAR with a couple of AI Blade Grow lights. Anyone have any success mounting these and a XR15 and have it look nice?

I'm only about 250 Par at the top of my rocks. I'd definitely like to increase it without having to add rock.

I would guess the height there mounted at is what is causing the large par difference.

I'd guess 12-14" between top of rocks and bottom of light.

How far from your rocks are you? As mentioned i'm 12-14" above the rocks. top of water is right in the middle.

My tank is 23.6" deep and the lights are ~8" off the water with the standard RMS mounts. I get 650 PAR at the surface @75% with my custom settings.

Weird I should at least get closer to 650 at the water as you then.

Sorry, I should've clarified: I'm getting 650 under the XR30s and 450 under the XR15s. I'm still seeing 250-300 PAR (overall) about halfway down in the tank.

okay so we're pretty close.. I'd just prefer to be 300-400 on top of my rocks.

I suspect I could get more if I bumped the intensity up, but then the darned fans are running all the time...

You've also got some overlap.
