Combining old and new

I was wondering if my old gen 1 XF150 would couple with a new XF230 with the new controller?

I wanted the smaller pump on the opposite side of my tank since there's limited room for mounting. Do the two different sizes conflict with use through the new controller?

Thanks for that! I was trying to find info from so many places before making a thread. Thought I would just go to the source of a reliable answer.
I've been told it only works with their same-sized counterpart so it looks like you've confirmed it. Such a shame. I have one side of my tank that is shorter than the other due to the weir/overflow. Hence the need for a 130 on that side and my 150 on the longer full end.

Welcome! Was actually happy to finally find the gumption to look for the answer. Been wondering in my head for a while. Lol! Same issue here with overflow.
