I recently went to Morro Bay and acquired a starfish that I fell in love with out in the ocean was wondering if the starfish would be able to live in my reef tank. Also what is this in the second picture I saw this on a rock at Morro Bay

I just thought these were really cool never seen thim in a store to buy my wife didn't let me take thim I was curious if they would be compatible with a reef tank

I'd be very leery of unknown starfish.....they are meat eaters and will eat whatever they can get their arms on.

And that second looks to be an unknown nudibranch....stay away!!!

The nudibranch appears to be an Alabaster Nudi (Dirona albolineata)......you don't want it!

No, those are cold water Anemones, we have the same ones in Laguna Beach... Would die quite easily if you weren't running a cold tank setup!

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
