Its been a minute. Took 2 years off. Still got my 22 gal thats overtaken by bubble algae. Scared to move the learher coral over to the new tank. Any suggestions please give.

I bought this tank awhile back with all supplies but just never pulled the trigger. Its been so long I dont ecen know how many gallons it is. I think its 65gal. With the sump and the refugium I think its close to 90gal.

Will post up lights soon. I got sumtin a little different.

Planning a reef tank. Not sure if Im gonna get sps. I dont want all the gadgets. Trying to keep it simple. No skimmer. Just water changes.

One thing im struggling on is making a salt water storage station. Planning to get a brute garbage bin but cant figure out what kind of pump to get so that the water can go upstairs to my tank. Im thinking about 100ft. Ill have to run the hose through the window, down through the garage and into the basement. I figured thats easier then lugging 20-40 gallons of water.

I an worried about the bubble algae making its way to my new tank. Not sure how to ensure that doesnt happen.
I would look into some inverts that eat it, I have a sea hare that eats EVERY kind of algae. My favorite cleaner

I have the same issue with respect to pumping water upstairs and using 100ft of tubing! Did you every figure out what you were going to use?

Here is my thread on the topic, but I have made no decisions at this point…still in the planning stages.. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/sump-downstairs.1004818/post-11691303
