It will be a slow process as I just upgraded from this tank. It is a 70 gal tank I got back in 2009 and has Current IC marine LED (x2), 3 current 2,100 wave pumps, Fluval FX6 canister, HOB refugium and corallife 60 HOB skimmer. Homemade stand to fit a sump in the future, once the wife calms down from the upgrade cost.
It will house her dogface puffer and my pearlscale for a little while till I can convince her they will need a 250 to be happy and healthy.
Added 4 black ocellaris clowns this made my Pearlscale that I banished to the tank happy. Also picked up a diamond goby. My RBTA split twice last month so I added 2 of them splits to the tank to see how they do for a while.
Hope this goes well!!!
You could add some Porcelain Crabs too if you want. They're super cool.
I've actually heard they can help BTA anemones who are ticked off and closed up.
They will coax them into opening up, and will kinda just help them in general which I thought was really cool.
You could also add a couple Rock Flower Nems for the Porcelain crabs or just to kinda have a mix of colors in their.
So one of the anemones found a power head the week before Thanksgiving and I placed it in the QT, just put it back in the DT poor little guy got a good tentacle cut. He is starting to thrive now and grow more tentacles and is eating regularly.
Had to place my gigantic long tentacle in the tank also due to it was messing with my corals in the other tank. When I got him 2 years ago he was maybe 3” round fully blown out, today I measured him is just over 12”. Also added a lawn mower blenny to help with algae issues and a few snails from my main tank.
