Looking forward to the build

Congrats my friend.
We all are ready for your build, make sure you post a lot in you build thread.

Btw, what do you have in mind as far of equipment, (light, sump, skimmer, return pump, aquascape layout, etc etc)

Lights still undecided between AI hydra 52s or t5s. Pump I'm going to lfs tomorrow due to wanting to have replacement parts close buy. Skimmer I was thinking a bubble magnus. I'm looking for a 70 to 75 gallon tank for a sump. I'd like a refugium with miracle mud live rock rubble and cheato and caluperia. At least 2 sock inlet and making room for uv sterilization and bio reactor and ATO. Thinking tunze but still looking into it. I will keep posting throughout the build. I will also be asking for advice and opinions. All help and opinions would be very much appreciated. Who makes good overflow kits? Thought I would buy a tank with overflows already installed but not the case so currently looking. Quiet and reliable?

Aqua scape will be mostly along the back leaving nice sand bed in front (detritus problem I know and looking into it). Will leave caves and shelves and over hangs as much as sightly possible. Will be thinking about coral placement as much as possible during the placement.

All had been thought about but the final decisions are being made along the way. What fits what doesn't and so on. Tank and fish health is top if the list

Ghost overflows are super quiet and you have a lot of estate left in the tank.
Think again about a UV filter.
All you need on the moment is a good skimmer and the refugium to make a start.
Later on maybe a Calcium reactor and a GFO reactor if your fuge can't manage it yet.

Uv was going to be there not running as a if needed bases. And I'll look into carbon and gfo. This is a large upgrade for me so thank you and all advice is welcome. I'm planning stand to fit any thing I plan on having and future plan to add. So i am definitely trying to preplanned as much as possible but final decisions are going to be made as I progress through the project

That's a sweet-looking 220, Wesleyclement85 - I like those glass crossbraces at the top, as they should allow minimal shadowing! What are you planning to fill it with? (aside from salty water...)

Reeftank220master, that's a seriously inspirational view, too.

Having just brought one of these guys (used, but new-t0-me) home yesterday, I'm intensely curious about every aspect of 220 life - from sumps and returns to skimmers, to heating and lighting . . .

I'm new to something this large also and it will be slow going for that reason. I know I want mostly coral (softies and lps some sps) fish the main items will be yellow tang, blond naso, brown powder hippo, and long nose butterfly. The build I'll keep posting as I go and I'd like to see where yours goes also!keep me posted on your experience and ideas and I'll do the same.
