we had a couple in our store a few months back, they just came labled "common anemone". one was purple, the other white(or off white). both about 2-3 inches in diameter, and about 3-4 inches of extended tentacles.
is there a specific species referred to as a common anemone? i looked through an invert guide i have, and i couldn't find anything on it.

just curious, that purple one was stunning.

+1 with Mac. The also long tentacle anemone is another common which is the same.

it wasn't a long tentacle, we get those in seperately(and they always die on us, its a 50 buck anemone, and they refuse to put it in a tank with proper lighting, ugh!!!).

Purple - long tentacle
White - condi

I would say Condylactis gigantea. They can come in Purple and White. But they are more of a off white as mentiond. So more than likely Condy anemones!
