I have a couple compatibility questions. I've heard that a melanarus and a leopard wrasse don't work well together in the same aquarium. Anyone had any experience with this? What other wrasse can be in the same aquarium (80g with a deep sand bed) as a melanarus wrasse? Also can a coral beauty and a bicolor Angel coexist in an 80g reef?

they both are generally peaceful wrasse. I haven’t known for many wrasse to be aggressive in general I’ve seen some get very big and get feisty when feeding time is. But my guess is most people say they won’t go well together because they’d compete for food not because of aggression. The leopard wrasse can be pretty difficult because of its eating habits. I’ve had one for a while and had to start feeding live brine just to make sure it’s not destroying the copepod population.

when it comes to the angels I’d say 50/50 I haven’t had luck with two angels together. UNLESS your local aquarium store has those two fish in a tank together for more then a week. I have a clown tang and a powder blue tank (which are some of the more aggressive tangs) I bought them out of the same tank they had been together for 3 weeks I turned the lights off and introduced them at the same time and it’s been GREAT! That’s hard to find tho. Also if you have corals the angels WILL nip at them sps and lps.
