having a ton of problems with my reef :(
I lost a lot of zoas, corals etc from some brown jelly. (according to someone I fired)

now I have these tiny worms nearly everywhere on the sandbed. Can anyone ID and help me ? How can I get rid of them?!

Not sure about the worms (but there's a chance they may be helpful/harmless critters versus bad).

The bubbles look like bubble algae. Some folks use a turkey baster to carefully suck them up (carefully is key-if they burst it sends more spores into the water helping the algae to spread). Some use emerald crabs which often eat it (but not always).

the worms have completely infiltrated the tank though, i need to control it... any suggestions much appreciated...

the bubble algae is ..... gross too... it pretty much killed all my zoas. :(

The worms are taking over because they have a food source. If you manage to remove them all, whatever they were eating remains, and probably causes algae. Let them do their job, and the population will self-regulate once whatever nutrient they are consuming is consumed.

I'm gonna be honest with you.. I'm not sure the worms can be dealt with; they'll always be there forever, I don't know of an effective way to kill them. That being said; they are harmless detritus eaters (good guys). If you can avoid them in your mind then perfect. A successful reef comes with these critters sometimes. It's an ecosystem enclosed in glass haha

this is where the brown jelly was but now it seems like algae, i dont know plus worms??? theres also blue feathers growing now. stressed.

but the problem is, all my zoas are dead. I lost about $2k worth of corals and zoas the past 3 months.

parameters are all good. slightly high phosphate so lowered the feeding frequency

Those worms are spaghetti worms siphon those suckers when you do water change
