I used the help of a friend to set up my tank. I have never shunned before, so I tooka backseat and let him do it.

he used those angled shims, rank is filled , level, however I see now the shims are all facing the same way, as if the slope is there.

they were not ying yanged and squared off, but are left a slope.
Would you drain and replace?

Standard 180, shimmed both corners, as well as that two foot side , directly in the middle of that side.

Not entirely sure I follow .... the ‘proper’ way to use shims is to insert them from both sides so that they support across the full width. Then saw off what protrudes. Doing what I think you were trying to say means the shim only supports at one edge. OK if you increase the frequency of support points.

Ok, that makes sense.

to clarify, I have them all facing the sameway, and when I get down to look under there, they def compressed a bit (not so much the shim themselves, but the gaps in between as they narrow out, creating some what of a flat pieces for the stand to touch at more than one point.

the tank is filled and has some fish in it, I suppose I can get more shims, andmake a stack of the heights that’s in there, and push it in, not raising it anymore than it is, just giving another spot to touch.

more I can drain let’s say 80 percent of the tank, leave fish in, push the new shims in, and take the others out, cris cross them, to make a flat surface.
