Is Chaeto compostable?

At least my chaeto has a bunch of pods in it so I wonder if its good or bad for compost? If not would it still be good to put in my plants? Herbs or more robust plants?

Should be fine but rinse it with fresh water to reduce the salt content. Alternatively, give it away to other local reefers. I wish someone had given me mine with pods.

Thanks @GMay! Happy to give it away to anyone in Miami (or anywhere if someone pays for shipping cost i guess), ill make a post in the forum there, i end up taking out a gallon or so every two weeks and don't know what to do with it but don't want to throw it away so if i can reuse it in the garden that would make me feel better.

I plan to compost mine. Googled around, other people do it. Also going to see if my box turtle wants it as a treat and still researching my other critters if it is safe for them. For as abundant as this stuff seems to be I'm surprised I'm not finding more "what to do with it" information on the web.
