Computer and Reef tank in same room

My 30 gallon aquarium and my work computer are in the same small 8 by 10 room.
My tank is open top and evaporates about 5 gallons a week.
I am concerned about corrosion within my computer. They are on opposite sides of the room but I don't need any issues.
I keep the door closed for about 12 hours each day, so the air gets a little stale in there during that time, but humidity never gets over 60 percent, usually hovers at 47 percent.
Has anyone had an issue with a scenerio such as this ?

The salt doesnt evaporate so corrosion wont be an issue. Humidity of 47% is low imo and you will be completely fine.

No, I've not. I have my display tank and sump in my office / den at home. Tank is 210 gallons, open top, sump below. I have my work laptop, personal desktop, and a home built NAS / server build running my personal lab that has 210 TB of storage. I've seen no issues over the last 5 years since the tank has been in here.

If the humidity is hanging around at 60 percent you should not have issues. 45% to 55% humidity is optimal for computer hardware and you are not much higher than that. You can always add a dehumidifier to the room if you get concerned.

Didn't have a computer in my Hawaii lab, they were upstairs and were subjected to harsh conditions. The house was 150 feet from the ocean and wasn't air conditioned (it was situated to catch the trade winds.) When the surf was up, salt spray would get into the house and when the trades stopped, humidity could be unbearable. So I think conditions such as yours are minimal and you and your computer should be fine.

Sounds pretty.

Not as close to the ocean as you but when I lived in Okinawa, Japan we didn't live too far from the ocean. I do not ask for re-do's much but living there at 19 vs. today would be much different I bet. Still enjoyed it but did not truly appreciate or understand what I had at 19...

I have a very small office and have kept a 25gallon lagoon tank in here with no issues. The only problem I can think of with this, is if the tank breaks then the pc on the floor is getting flooded as well!

Thanks everyone, I should be good then. Computer is on a stand nine inches above floor, as well as all electrical cords, just in case the tank decides to break.

I've had plenty of things corrode from salt spray, but my experience is its about a 3foot bubble at most. Its water splatter than can cause damage, so it's as far as droplets can fling from the tank via pumps and such.

You will see more damage from a power surge over a salt tank. The salt will stay in the tank.
I have my TV hanging on the wall adjacent to my reef tank.
