Computer fan for cooling

I’m looking to get some fans for my canopy.
I’ve been looking at all the options on amazon from dc to ac but can’t commit to any of them. I need something that’ll blow some air but not be a earful of humming. What are you guys using and how load are they?

I actually use the small clip-ons I bought from BRS. They move a lot of air and are dead silent in my canopy. I actually have one in the sump location as well. Can't hear them running at all. Not the prettiest things but mine are fully covered in the canopy and sump.

I just bought these and they are very, very quiet. I honestly do not realize they are on at times. Very pleased that I bought them.

Usually, most of the humming can be reduced or eliminated by better vibration isolation between the fan and the stand. When you screw it in, put some rubber washers or foam weatherstripping tape between the fan and the stand so the stand doesn't act like a sounding board.

One other thing to consider - if you have an apex with an EB832 (or another module with an available 24V DC port,) you can buy a 24V DC fan and the cable to plug into the Apex. That way you can control your fans but don’t have use a 120V port on your power bar.

I have used two of those Noctua fans listed by Sierra_Bravo to vent my DIY canopy. They are very quiet and despite being on at 100% all the time I barely notice the hum. They are fairly cheap (13$?) and I connected them directly to a 12V 1amp "Wall wart" plug the type of which we all have piling up in the old electronics box. Cant beat it for 26$!

I actually use 4 corsair 120mm fans that i had laying around from my PC building days. They move a decent amount of air without being too loud. I used an old wall wart that was rated at 12v and sufficient amperage supply.

If you want it to look good, search for AC Infinity fan in amazon. there are models with temp display like this

So I whent with this since it’s pretty cheap. If I see a difference in temperatureand the noise isn’t a issue, I’ll order another.

Do you know what wires are what on these?
Going to run them on a timer at 100% thx

Sleepydoc.......that's actually what I am trying to look for. I have a 150 gallon that is going through 1 gallon/day of evaporation. I have T5 running and 52HD and will start having my temps up toward the 79+. I have it where the T5 turn off but I'm just getting into SPS I need the light. I have an apex and also have 2 of the EB832 that I will try to incorporate cooling fans. Tha ks for the idea
