1.) When I bought the forestfire digitata i wasnt paying enuff attention to notice some kind of algaeish looking brown hair growing on the tip of one end. Had it for 2 months and still alive. The polyps extend well and the other two tips look happy. Wat is it and how do i cure it?
I tried blasting it with turkey blaster and brushing it with toothebrush but it seems to come back..

2.) There is a white flowerish looking polyp next to my zoas.. i even saw 1 on my frogspawn and was wondering if its harmful. Corals dnt seem to b much affected by it yet, how do i get rid of this? Its small enuff to b hard to manually take out with a twizzer.. it goes in if i touch it so its real hard to take out. Tried dipping it without success. Harmful? If so how do i get rid of them?

3 ) my hammers polyps look super healthy and puffy, but the stem/base has a skeleton on one side... thought it might be my hermit crab picking on it since it seems to be there quite a lot. Can it heal back to normal? It eats really well when i feed it and thankfully the polyps arent skeletonizing.

My water perimeters are all good says my lfs.

Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Calcium 450

I check my water 2 to 3 times a week.
1 time i had salinity low at 1.022 for about a day or two because of too much ro water top off.

1) I dont know, but this will 'bump' the thread for others to help
2) to me it looks like aptaisia, but I've only seen pics, never had one, so will let others confirm.
3)The third pic is not a hammer, can you attach a pic of the hammer, I see it on the fourth pic but its too small to see what you mean

Sorry I cant really help but bumping it to the top of the page for more notice

1. Buy a bone cutter and cut off the tip with algae. It will grow back.

2. Aiptasia. If this is the ONLY aiptasia in the tank, get some aiptasia-x or similar. Take frag out and put in a small container with tank water. Wait for aiptasia to come out and squirt it with aiptasia-x.
