I'm not sure what kind of conch this is bc it came buried in a bag of GARF Grunge. It stays hidden 99% of the time. After a long blackout yesterday I turned on my lights to find this.

It was clearly attacking one of my snails and seemed like it was trying to pull the snail out of its shell. Hopefully you can see in the pics below.

EDIT: in the pictures thats the conch engulfing a good sized snail. COmpletely wrapping around the snail. The only part of the snail thats showing in the first two pictures is the base of the snail.

Very interesting but Is this normal??

I think that’s a whelk, not a conch. Can you get a better pic of the shell?

Oh man, never considered that! It def looks different than a typical conch. I'd better read up more.

Also I'd say its a good 3 inches long.

Here's the best pics I have.

Def looks whelkish to me...to the sump with him.

Update: GOT HIM!!! Saw the PIA trying to swallow another conch tonight. Had to dismantle a good part of my love rock aquascape but got that bad boy. I don't want him anywhere in my system so have to try to find a home for him.
