I was thinking of adding a conch to my tank to help move around the sand a bit. I already have cerith, nerite, Turbo snails, and hermits. I'm just not sure which type of conch to add. Thank you for your help

I have a Strawberry Conch in my 40B. IMO it is a perfect fit. About 3" long. Takes him about a week plus to cover the entire SB. I supplement feed him 2x a week by putting a small strip of dried algae in front of him, buried slightly in the sand to hold it in place. He loves the stuff! Red Led and him munching away :)

In my tank I would pry need a couple of them. I have a 150g, 5ft long tank. My lfs will special order for me and I trust them, but I will still use the mantra "trust but verify"

The Fighting Conch is not as aggressive as its name implies. Though a male Fighting Conch can be territorial towards other males of it's own kind. Take caution on putting two of the same species in your tank. Hench "Fighting". IMO the Fighting Conch is one of the best Omnivore's you can buy for keeping your sand bed super clean. Here's mine in the pics below. The one pic shows how clean he keeps my sand bed. He's in a 20 gallon mini reef tank.
