Pretty normal, my massive orange lipped conch occasionally climbs pretty high on the rock work or glass. It’s fun to watch when he jumps. Doesn’t do it every day, I’m guessing he must be following some tasty trail.

Ya my tiger conch has started climbing my back wall, the only surface I don’t clean. I’ve had the conch for 9 months and he just began doing it. I wonder if the sandbed is to clean because of it, nassarius snails and my diamond watchman goby.

Can be a sign of starvation. Lot of competition in a sand bed.

This was the reason i brought it up! Was worried about this despite thinking i overfeed(if i do its only slightly) but the responses are making it seem like its random personality but from a science perspective i lean back toward starvation and wondrr if maybe my CUC is too strong.

My buddy who got me into the hobby visited recently and couldnt believe how clean the tank was for its age(born Aug, 1.)

Wow... my tiger conch goes mountain climbing but thought there'd be know way he could stick to the glass.
I'm sure ol' clumsy would just fall off and dive bomb something if he tried.
That'll freak me out if I ever see it.
could always tie a piece of nori to a small rock and put it on the sand

Good point i hadnt thought of sipplementing as id be worried theyd end up ignoring their purpose... but i probably should add something once in a while to ensure they arent starving gicen the tank is still fairly new

My macroalgae tank has been set up for over a year now. I have a strawberry conch (left) and a Pacific fighting conch (right). Only the smaller Pacific fighting conch climbs the glass for algae.
