Yesterday I purchased a red buble tip anemone. I introduced it into the tank and had no issues throughout the night. This morning when the lights kicked on I noticed that my Condy nem was almost right next to the bubble tip. This is a dramatic move from where the condy was the night before. Ive read that nems will sting eachother? Could this be fatal? Any experience of having nems chase/hunt eachother down? If any problems arise I will obviously get rid of the condy but am hoping I dontr have to. 55g tank lots of flow and led lighting.

There could very well be some chem warfare (allelopathy) going on.
Try to sepperate them, maybe run carbon.
Condy's are not considered to be a host nem and have a stronger sting that can harm fish, even clowns sometimes, so just keep that in mind.

I've read not to mix species of anemones as they may sting each other. I previously looking to add a LTA to a tank which already have a BTA, but after a bit of research I just got another BTA.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this as I have never seen it happen. I have a green black and a pink tipped condi who were on opposite sides of the tank. About 10 minutes ago I went in to look at them and the pink tipped anemone looks to be almost sitting on the green bta. Should I be worried? Any advice?

Correction: they are basically foot to foot.

Should be of no issue but if anemone is moving, it likely due to excess water flow or inadequate light intensity

There is absolutely no problem mixing any anemone complex types. They touch each other and get along. If one is stronger than the other, the weaker anemone will move. Unhealthy anemones that die are just unhealthy to start with.

I personally have kept everyone of the ten species together in my mixed tank for the past 6 years. Now to keep other types of fishes except clownfish with anemones, that I haven’t had any success with yet.

Anemones generally blend well but carpets generally pack a good sting but rarely affect others
