Hi All: I'm wondering if anyone has kept a condy anemone long term - long-term I mean perhaps about a year or so. I have tried to keep two condys since I converted to a reef and both just slowly shrunk and then disappeared?? I was doing some reading and saw that they prefer lower temperatures - mid 70's and then have had people say that's not true.

I would love to keep one again and would love to hear from people that have kept them alive for a good stretch of time. Thanks in advance!!

I would like to know the same thing although I don't plan on keeping them it has crossed my mined a few times that they are cheap and I see them by the dozen in the lfs but I've never seen an established tank or heard of anyone keeping them long term

well, check back on this thread and we'll both find out I hope :) I saw some really cool ones at my LFS this past weekend but obviously passed since I don't know what the secret is to keeping them long-term.

I have had a coney now for about 8 months.. it is still healthy as ever.
I also have two BTA and 4 flower nems in the same tank... they are all getting along and are happy little critters

incase you do read this again sometime.. just pm me and we can talk about whats all in my tank, and my levels.. I do not know if thats why it is still thriving or just because I have a strong willed coney.

Had one for just under a year (( this was over a decade ago, so the time period could be off )), it was hosting a pair of Clarkiis who ended up "loving" it to death.
