can anyone identify these snails? they were hitchhikers in my live rock. pretty sure they are a species of cone but I’m just tryna find some identification. I took them out of my tank so they don’t kill any of my fish or inverts. however they seemed docile. they mainly buried themselves in the gravel with just their sensor thing sticking out.

With shells that are that covered with ???, it's nearly impossible to tell what particular species of Cone they are. All Cones are carnivores and many/most utilize venom when they hunt. A few are even quite dangerous even to humans.

If you are going to keep them, I'd recommend in the refugium or sump and be careful handling them.
