Confessions of a Coral Killer

After back home from out the city job, found sps corals bleach 100% others 50 to 80 % and few looks like just fine
Also a Jelly bean too
Right away parameters checked and just fine
My family say nothing happens in my absence
Tank looks normal ((no pests)
Fish. hermits and snails normal but can't find any shrimp
Can't catch the coral killer .....
Any ideas ???

Sounds a lot like you bottomed out on nitrate. It'll bleach and wipe out coral over night.

What is just fine to you? Sps don't like changes - is it possible there was a spike or dip in an important parameter but it somehow self corrected?

Need to keep checking my dosing pumps
