Hi,
How does everyone determine when a sick fish in QT is now healthy?

We had a sick clownfish in our DT - treated the whole tank with Ruby Reef until we were able to finally catch the clownfish and pull him out. He was covered in mucus and his eyes were glassy. We have been treating for 10 days with SulfaPlex (dosing every 72 hours per the instructions and last dose was on Monday). All in probably 2 weeks in the DT with Ruby Reef and then 10 days in QT.

He is now active, engaged, eating, and looks clean. We would like to put him in the DT again before this coming weekend - but also don't want to re-introduce the sickness back into the DT since we got it all clear.

Thoughts? The picture is from today of the fish. Don't have one of what it looked like before.

Tell signs are the best ability to determine:
Rapid breathing
loss of appetite
lethargic behavior
Sudden hiding
Body looks pale or had heavy mucus and even dots or fuzzy appearance
Fish gasping at surface or swimming in front of water flow
Erratic swim behavior

Also,

What illness were you attempting to resolve with your treatment?

Some illnesses and parasites require treatment beyond the time the fish appears to have returned to good health. For example, if you are treating ich, you need to treat for the entire 30-day QT period without falling below the recommended therapeutic levels. The life cycle of the parasite must be attacked before you can be confident the pest has been eliminated.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what illness the fish had. We had a strong indication it was brooklynella. But could have been ich which is why we treated the DT with kick-ich along with Rally pro from Ruby Reef.
