Hello,

for some reason my head cannot think this through and feel like an idiot. I just got a Inkbird ITC-306T (2 heater controller) I have the inkbird plugged into my Apex.

I want to keep my tank stable at 77.

Please help me with the programming for the inkbird and apex (highs and low's)

thank you

The way I do it, is on the inkbird I have it set to 77 and let that do the controlling. On the apex, I have a high threshold set (like 81) in case something happens.

something like this on the APEX:
If FrTmp > 81 Then OFF

So am I doing it under the advance controls
Then on the apex and not under the heater control settings?

Fallback OFF
Set ON
If Tmp > 81.0 Then OFF
I would set Fallback to ON. With your current program, your tank will not have a heater if there is an issue with the Apex. 1 failure point. If set to Fallback ON the inkbird will be your redundancy.

I would not recommend failure leaving the heater on. Worst case the tank cools down a bit. Definitely have a low alarm. But if something is wrong with the controller or apex you could cook your tank. Much worse then falling a couple degrees.

If it is not set to on, how do i keep it plugged into the apex and keep power to the inkbird ?

Sorry. I meant I wouldn't fallback to on. It's always better for a heater to fail in the off position.
