It's deep red & can be scrubbed off easily. I'm not stressed about it. I'm happy something is finally happening in this 180 tank . Is this what I think it is & what can I do to cut back on this?Thanks!

Might be a low flow area. I would siphon it off and see how quickly it returns for now. If it's spreading to the sand bed or becomes chronic than create a plan of attack
