For some reason my alk and Ca hasn't changed from day to day. This has been on going since after fourth of July. I have a good amount of lps and sps colonies in my tank so for these two elements to remain constant (8 dkh/440ppm) is a mystery to me.

Are you dosing? If so then you have your dosing requirements down. If you are not dosing then it is likely testing errors. Hard to maintain rock solid numbers like that even from just water changes.

How much were you previously dosing in dKH per day to maintain them?

Maybe they are just growing very slowly. If the pH os lower now (due to closed up windows, for example) growth may slow a lot, as will abiotic precipitation.

I was dosing two part at 10ml daily maintaining dkh at 8.5 and Ca at 440-460ppm. The closed window theory makes sense living in the south in the summer. Today is a weekly test so I will see how slow it is still going. Thanks
