Confused - Hooking up 2 Jebao pumps

Hello,

I recently purchased an apex system and am having a really hard time understanding how these pumps work with apex. Got the wave maker adapter hooked up to everything. The apex instructions online are vague. Few questions:

Do I need to connect the Jebao power supply to the EB8...or can I just plug it into a seperate/normal outlet?

What location do I use for setting up the pumps? Do I setup the left pump on "base_Var1" and right pump on "base_Var2"?

I'm selecting "advanced" control type, as I setup a few profiles for different modes/times of the day settings. The profile setup seems pretty straight forward.

Any information would be appreciated!

I am setting up a new tank and using the same hookup. I found a setup on youtube at the link below. There is also a 2nd part video. This should help.
