So I recently set up my Red Sea 170 with a XR15W Pro Gen5. I’m using this setting that BRS recommended. But I hate how white my tank is. I cannot stand the white. Is there any reason to run the white at 50%?

My tank is going to be a mixed reef. I’m going to transfer all my corals from my old tank.

This will be my 2nd tank so I want to do everything right the 2nd time around.

I would like to see what other settings people are running with proven results

I just set up 2 XR30 Pro G5s and found that the BRS recommendations did not have enough white for my taste. I think you start with the AB+ and then add or subtract pet taste anything except the UV, Violet, Royal, and Blue. From my reading, these wavelengths are the key to coral success, the rest are for human eye consumtion.

So I can tone down the white to bring more blues and not effect coral health?
