If you have a laundry tub - you can get something that splits the flow - so that you screw one piece onto the faucet - and then you have 2 outlets - one you can hook up to the RO unit - and the other that you can then use - there are 'on off' valves on each outlet. If you are planning to use a plain sink - that is more difficult - you can get an adapter for any faucet - but its a hassle having all of that stuff sitting in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. Some people have a plumber put another outlet under their sink in a cabinet - and you can then turn that on when you want to use it - and put it away when not in use.
