Connecting multiple wavemakers into one Reefkeeper outlet

Hello, just joined the R2R community. Also just starting my first marine tank. I’m having issues plugging in and running my 4 Skimz SS 9.0 powerheads to one of my reefkeeper powerbars. I have all 4 plugged in to one of those yellow and black workshop powerbars from Lowes and I have that plugged into the reefkeeper powerbars as I only have one remaining spot on the powerbar but it doesn’t turn on the power strip from Lowes. Does anyone know if there is a special adapter I need to make it work or if it just won’t run off that type of power strip at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated! (Pictured is the type of power strip I’m trying to plug into the reefkeeper powerbar with the 4 powerheads plugged into it)

In the photo that power strip is off. It will need to be on for the Reefkeeper power bar to power on and off your wavemakers.

Thanks you for the input. I shut it off because it wasn’t working anyway but when I have both power bars powered on it still stays off

OK, does the indicator for that channel on the Reefkeeper power bar come on?

Yes I got it to work. I think it wasn’t working because the Chanel wasn’t set up or something. I plugged it into a different power bar and it started working. Thanks for the help!

Elite. Got 3 powerbars with it off eBay but one of them doesn’t work. Still looking for another and the salinity reading module. SL2 I believe. Or SLX. Something like that

Oh thanks, I’ll definitely need the salinity probe, just have to find the module first. I have the NET, the SLX and the ALC modules. Have to find the SL2 and get the probe

The reefkeeper stuff is so hard to find now that it’s discontinued. I check eBay like 15 times a day but haven’t had much luck finding the power bar or the SL2

Have you checked on the forum here? Also you may have to get a smaller system such as the RKL to get the power bar or even another RKE system if it has the modules you need. If you have time to wait you will come accross someone selling individual modules. Just keep looking for them.

No biggie though. My rocks are almost done during and then I still have to cycle the tank before I get any livestock
