Got a pair of used Red Sea 50. I factory reset them but it kept saying that my wifi password is incorrect. Any advice?

Error msg: “incorrect password” or “unable to join network”

I got a Red Sea 90 that is running with no issue.

A. They notoriously are SUCKY connecting.
B. They dont do the 5 GHZ..has to be the 2.4 ghz spectrum
C. Try Try and Try again until you want to blow your brains out...then try one more time and it will work.

i have 2 reefwaves and one LED and i HATE HATE HATE the app.

wait...that looks like the wifi connection to the reefwave itself. You have to use the reefwave password (which i think IS password) to first connect to the reefwave. (it gives it to you in the app). Once you connect to the reefwave itself..then you pick your wifi channel then the wifi password.

Wow you saved the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would Red Sea put a password before my password SMH. Mine are the reefled 50s

I hope Red Sea tech is reading this, this is so stupid but it’s working so far!

you’re a hero lol

The reason behind it is to prevent someone from accessing your hone internet and bypassing your security by connecting to your unsecured aquarium equipment. Stupid yes. Insecure password..yes. Reason for it..yes

Btw, I didn’t have to go throw this step when I set up my reefled 90. Again, I don’t know what Red Sea was thinking but that was absolutely ridiculously

if that was indicated in the instruction, then it’s my fault not reading it.

I briefly checked the manual and there was no indication of the “password” part while setting up. The good thing is that they’re both working now without issue, so far

I guess like some say, it’s a pain to set them up but once it’s set up and it’s pretty good just like the reefled 90 I am runnjng.

Its in the App. When you connect through the app it tells you the password to use.
