I have a WB 220.6 that’s been up & running for close to a year. Currently have an Emperor Angel, a Blonde Naso, a Yellow Tang & a Hippo Tang along with some smaller fish & cuc. (I’ve added a short vide to show what I have including the corals). I am considering adding a Latticed Butterflyfish pair that have been quarantine, treated & are eating pellets & frozen. Is this a bad idea? What is the life expectancy of these fish?

Not sure why the video is not loading. I am adding three pictures instead. We’ll see if that works.

Don’t think its a bad idea, but a gutsy one. Idk, if I were a butterflyfish those leathers sure look tasty. I mean it’s always a risk but they can be kept with coral. Don’t freak if you see one or both of them tear one of the leathers apart as sometimes (and only referring to butterflies here) they pick/eat a coral and then stop. Not sure exactly how long they live but my guess would be 7-15 years. Hope you have success, and sorry no one answered until now.

I have had a few butterflies over the years and currently have a bunch. The latticed is one of my favorites. They are easy to care for and not picky about food but will go after every single coral and anemone in your tank. Anemones seem to be a favorite and will be relentless until there is nothing left.
