Considering getting some Emerald Crabs - how many?

Battling both bubble and hair algae right now. It seems that I let my DI media go too long and my TDS was registering at like 8 for top off water - need to keep a closer eye on that.

With that said, I need to get some Emerald crabs to help mitigate my algae problem, but I don't know how many to get. I have a 100g display and a 70g sump and the bubble/hair algae problem is reasonable bad right now. Let me know your thoughts please. Thanks.

[reacclimating 2 the hobby]

I have two in my 525xl that both hang out on one structure. I'd get three or four at least and hope they go after the bubble algae. I've heard other people have success with Vibrant as well.

I’d say get no more than 5 for now. You don’t wanna over do it and any die from lack of food. You can always assess and see if you want to add more later

Kryptospore - that sounds awful! I have 2 snowflake clowns, one yellow watchman goby, a flame hawk, a tail spotted blenny, 2 banggai cardinals, and a mandarin. What fish did you emeralds take out? My tank is pretty peaceful, so I don't want to really introduce anything too aggressive.

They took out a Lt. Tang, Fairy wrasse, flame angel and flame hawk. I finally figured it out when I saw one grab my tang and pull it under my rocks.
